Amidst the Khans of B-town, Akshay Kumar seems to be gradually varying the name of the game that Bollywood is with movies like SPECIAL 26 and BABY. He has forsaken his Mr. Funny bones title with topical films bringing back the spotlight on aspects of life nearer to earth reality. And Bollywood too, lastly seems to be convivial of more such subjects.
Akshay’s imminent movie, AIRLIFT, also starring applauded actress Nimrat Kaur, is one such movie which talks about a lesser known incident – that of evacuation of 1,70,000 Indians from Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait War of 1990 – also called the largest human evacuation in history. Megastar Akshay Kumar has shared the first poster of his upcoming film AIRLIFT, based on this largest migration of Indians based in Kuwait. Akshay Kumar as we know is a martial artist and his look on the poster just says it all for his hard work and intense involvement in the movie. He shared black-and-white image, where he is in a serious look. “India airlifted over 1, 70,000 people from Kuwait in the largest human evacuation in history,” he captioned the look. The black-and-white poster shows an aircraft flying above a runway, weighed down with smoke and emit. Poster reads “1, 70,000 refugees, 488 Flights, 59 days, 1 man.” This is so far seemingly one of the most promising movies of the actor. Director Raja Krishna Menon said, ‘the movie is based on true events, it is a heroic story of a man Ranjit Katyal, which is been played by Akshay, a powerful and wealthy Indian businessman.” The film going to hit the screens by January 22, 2016.
